MANAGE, India’s Top Agribusiness Management School, Organized 9th Convocation Ceremony for its Prestigious PGDM-ABM Program

National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad organized the 9th Convocation 2025 ceremony for its Prestigious Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Agri-Business Management)-PGDM (ABM) to confer degrees on 100 successful students of the program and to award medals to meritorious students, on June 28, 2025, at its campus in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.

MANAGE was established on 11 June, 1987, by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India as an autonomous Institute. MANAGE is the Indian response to challenges of agricultural extension in a rapidly growing and diverse agriculture sector.

MANAGE offers its services in five key areas: Management Training, Consultancy, Management Education, Research, and Information Services. Recognizing the growing demand for skilled agri-managers in the era of liberalization and globalization, MANAGE launched India’s first two-year Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Agribusiness Management) – PGDM-ABM – in 1996.

The program was established with the vision of developing dynamic agri-professionals capable of leading in key areas such as agricultural processing, marketing, agriculture economics, post-harvest technologies, cropping systems, integrated pest management (IPM), supply chain management, and human resource development, ultimately aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity, streamlining processes, and increasing farmers' incomes.

Over the years, this program has evolved into one of India’s top agribusiness management programs. Today, MANAGE ranks among the Top 5 B-Schools in Agribusiness Management in the country.

One of the key strengths of the PGDM-ABM program is its consistent record of 100% placement since inception. For the academic year 2024–25, the minimum package offered is ₹12 lakh per annum, with the highest CTC reaching ₹24 lakh and an average CTC of ₹14 lakh per annum, demonstrating the strong industry demand and relevance of the program.

Admissions are conducted through a rigorous and comprehensive process involving CAT (Common entrance test) exam (The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) conduct the CAT exam on a rotational basis, tentatively in November every year) percentile score, group discussions, and personal interview. However, a graduate degree in agriculture or allied sciences is a mandatory eligibility criterion, ensuring that the program stays focused on the core needs of the agriculture sector.

Until 2023, the student intake for the PGDM-ABM program at MANAGE was limited to 60. In response to growing demand and the institute's expanding impact, the intake was increased to 100 in 2023 and further to 120 in the 2024 admission cycle.

The current 2024 batch reflects the rich diversity of India, with students hailing from 20 different states and representing 26 agricultural universities across the country.

The success of MANAGE’s PGDM-ABM program lies in its experiential pedagogy, regularly updated curriculum, and a conducive learning environment that fosters holistic student growth. With its continued focus on innovation, excellence, and industry relevance, MANAGE remains a leading institution in shaping the future of agribusiness in India.
